Sunlight, lighter shades of colour and a coatless outfit. I’m so done with winter, I just decided to pull together a Spring-vibe look to celebrate what’s ahead.
Jim Chapman said it best in his December column of British GQ. He talked about style-related new year’s resolutions and why they’re so popular: ‘giving yourself a few goals to focus on is a decent way of making it through what is arguably the most depressing month in the calendar.’ And even though the weather doesn’t agree with Chapman’s dark describtion (as you can see), but I totally do!
I’ve had it!
I always get like this after the festive season. I start the year with a fresh mind about goals, new things coming and getting excited about the coming year. But than January seems to be much longer than it actually is and I just want it to end. But I can only be positive that tomorrow will be a new dawn with hopefully another day like this (the sun felt amazing that day!). For now, I’ll just have to imagine myself walking in light jackets, airy T-shirts and bare ankles, drinking my coffee on my tiny balcony in the morning and enjoying a good workout outside the clammy gym.
So to keep the magical Spring in mind, I chose light colours to complement my camel classic: this leather jacket. I practically live in it while inside. And I can’t wait to where it outside again too!
Let’s count down the days to the end of this ‘dark’ season.
